Back when we had one girl and two boys, my husband and I made a deal: he'd get the boys in our family ready for Church, while I'd help the girls.
Seemed like a pretty good deal at the time.
Well, since that deal was made, we've had six more girls join our family.
Which means that there's quite an assembly line of hair to do come Sunday morning.
On Sunday, I did Sarah's hair first. All the other girls liked it so much they wanted to match.

We had an ultrasound tonight!

It's our SEVENTH GIRL!
I love watching my little girls grow up together and I'm so excited to add to their number. When this one's born, that will make six girls born in a span of 7.5 years! Can't you just imagine the fun when they're teenagers?

I've been challenging myself to master my camera better. I usually use Av mode for my portraits, but I've switched to full manual and I'm liking the results.
I like this one too, but I think the black background might be a tad too harsh.
Harmony can barely sit still for a picture, but I love this laid-back one.
I like the sweetness of this one.
But the expression on this one is more her personality.
And finally, one of Eliza with the beautiful snow as a backdrop.
This is one of my new favorites of Katie, fingers in the mouth and all.

Our lives are blessed by little girls. Today I want to focus on the two youngest.
Here's Harmony showing her daddy she's SO big.
She's at a wonderful age in her life. She finds happiness in everything and brings joy to everyone. I've been taking the little girls outside in the afternoons to wait for the bigger kids to walk home. They come around the corner and RUN to give Harmony a hug.Wouldn't you?
Harmony's favorite thing in the world is our baby. She never loses interest in asking to "'old er."
Katie seems to enjoy it too.
Katie is a friendly, happy soul with a smile and grin for anyone. She's a little goofy looking, with a smile too big for her face and her huge storkbite birthmark.
She has these gorgeous, penetrating big eyes.
I often tell Katie how lucky we are that she came to our family. "What would we do without you?" I'll ask her and even if there is a teeny little cynical voice in my head that says "you'd get a lot more sleep," it is drowned out by the joy of knowing this unique little daughter of God. It is a privilege to be her mother and I'm happy.

And I'm really happy about it. The baby is healthy and beautiful, with two arms, two legs, a beautifully beating heart, and . . .
she is definitely a girl!
We're absolutely thrilled. We just had four girls in four years, and I love having all of them grow up together. Adding one more to their happy group is exciting, and I'm even crossing my fingers hoping number nine is ALSO a girl, just so we can even out the numbers a bit. I'm also a bit relieved. When the twins were born, I had a hard time switching from crooning names like "buddy" and "kiddo" over to "sweatheart" and "princess." I was a bit worried that I'd have the same problem switching back, especially since I've had almost six years of princesses. The bows and frills and pink and purple will get at least one more use, and I won't have to worry about switching out the ponies and dolls for a few more years yet. And I don't mind waiting a bit longer to have a Benjamin.
I mean, really, who wouldn't be excited to have one more of these?
I have no ideas on names yet, though. Our only rule so far has been that the baby can't have the same initial as a sibling, so that rules out names that start with L, J, M, A, S, E, and H. We like more traditional names, but also want it to mean something. Any suggestions?
